Kinetech Arts Open Lab is where artists, scientists and engineers get together to explore the intersection of dance, science and technology.

Since 2013, we have cultivated a welcoming community for artists and scientists who share a common interest in the intersection of art and science. Our aim is to create a space where curiosity serves as the driving force behind creativity, research, and collaboration.

We acknowledge that experimentation often entails failure, yet we firmly believe that failure is an integral part of the discovery process. Within our Open Lab, a supportive environment has been established, where everyone can freely explore without the pressure to produce.

We enthusiastically embrace individuals who approach their work with playfulness and courage, fearlessly pursuing their curiosity and sharing their most unconventional ideas and passions with fellow human beings. At the Open Lab, we engage in mutual learning, constantly enriching one another's knowledge and experiences.

Y-Exchange

Every last Wednesdays of the month, Kinetech Arts, Djerassi Resident Artists Program and ODC Theatre present the Y-Exchange, a series of free public talks on art, science and technology.

Y-Exchange is a monthly series of talks featuring renowned artists who explore the intersection of technology, science, and art. Through a public and inclusive platform, these artists present their works side-by-side, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to witness the convergence of these disciplines. Following the presentations, engaging Q&A sessions take place, facilitating a dialogue between the artists and the audience. Since 2014, we have had the privilege of featuring hundreds of artists and scientists from all corners of the world.

Y-Exchange is a collaborative effort between Kinetech Arts, ODC Theater, and the Djerassi Resident Artists Program, combining their expertise to co-present this remarkable program. We take great pride in offering our community a thought-provoking experience that not only challenges the minds of attendees but also inspires them to continually expand their knowledge, informing their own scientific and artistic endeavors
