The KA community has grown through free public events that give Bay Area artists visibility and space for collaboration. Since 2013, our weekly Open Lab has fostered somatic, scientific, and technological research, bringing together dancers, scientists, musicians, and digital artists to experiment and exchange ideas. Grounded in playfulness and curiosity, we welcome unconventional approaches and view experimentation—including failure—as essential to discovery.
